What started as a small charity scramble first organized in 2014 by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. (S&P) with just over 100 golfers at the Sugar Creek Golf Club has since more than doubled in size to 240 golfers, and nearly quadrupled in impact, regularly bringing in close to $200K each year in support of our Adopt-A-Family Program and filling the two-course Wildcat Golf Course in Houston. Funds raised from the Classic afford transplant patients and their families a place to stay during their medical treatment in Houston.
Initiated by George Pontikes and the marketing team at S&P, both construction and medical industry companies, along with supportive community partners have rallied together in support of transplant patients and their families, allowing them to focus on the transformative task of healing by lessening the overwhelming financial burdens many of these patients face. We are ever grateful for the continuing support of our presenting sponsor, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc., and for their constant care of both the home and its people. Additionally, we are appreciative of the many volunteers who have given countless hours over the years to help make the Classic the success that it is!
