2024 Gala: World of Wonder
Yearly EventsHOUSTON, TX — Another year, another successful tournament for the Nora’s Home Classic, presented by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction. The nearly 150 enthusiastic participants in this year’s sold out event to benefit Houston’s haven for transplant patients and their families gathered on Friday, October 16th at Wildcat Golf Club (a change from previous years) to enjoy a safe and thoroughly entertaining day on the Lakes Course. The tournament, a cardinal date on the Nora’s Home fundraising calendar, raised a record-breaking $85,000-plus. This gift is especially welcome during a turbulent year in which local regulations have obliged Nora’s Home to operate at no more than 50% capacity.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the S&P Spirit Award was presented to Jack Lester, who spoke movingly about his connection to the Nora’s Home mission and his experience as a former guest.

About Nora’s Home: Opened in 2013, Nora’s Home is the preferred accommodation destination for transplant patients and their families in the Texas Medical Center. Built with the specific needs of transplant patients and families in mind, our facility includes: 32 private bedrooms and baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a great room, a meditation room, a community room, an education center and free shuttle services to the medical center.
