Financial Guidance for all Guests

Meet Sue–dog mom of two sweet fur-kids, devoted volunteer, and transplant financial pundit.

Sue has been volunteering with Nora’s Home for several years now in various capacities from special event aide to pantry collection guru to her most no

table contribution as a financial guidance expert at Nora’s Home. With over 40 years of experience under her belt as a transplant financial specialist at the Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center, Sue packs a punch to help almost any guest navigate around COBRA, Medicaid, and all the sticky ins and outs of insurances. Once a month Sue comes to the home and offers advice on how guests can find bargains on their medications, work with their insurance to get the most out of their coverage, and she stays up to date with government policy changes such as those implemented during the pandemic that affect the financial funds available to those facing medical hardships.

We’re proud (and incredibly grateful) to have volunteers like Sue as part of the Nora’s Home family and we hope that our guests can all take advantage of the great service she is to the home! If you have any questions or would like to know when Sue will be coming next, email us at info@norashome.org and we’ll get you in touch with the financial wiz herself!
