2022 Donor Appreciation Dinner

Donors Gather to Celebrate Nora’s Home

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Nora’s Home donors were able to gather and spend the evening celebrating the success of the home at Evelyn’s Park on November 2nd, 2022. Guests enjoyed a social cocktail hour, followed by dinner catered by Adair Catering while listening to Executive Director, Natalie Lencioni, give a brief overview of the challenges the home overcame during the pandemic, milestones celebrated and how fundraising remained strong due to the benefactors of Nora’s Home. Nora’s Home guests, Susana and Alleyah, shared how the home has made them feel welcome during Alleyah’s treatment and were appreciative that a facility like Nora’s Home exists for transplant patients. Ten-year old Alleyah, a recent heart recipient, couldn’t come to the dinner in-person and you can watch their testimonial below.

Dr. Osama Gaber, Board Chair, added his thanks to the attendees and shared about how Nora’s Home is well-established to endure time due to the philanthropic efforts of the home’s supporters. He shared his vision of the future of the home and thanked all who made the success of the home possible. True to Houstonian pride, guests were then able to catch the Astros game as part of the 2022 World Series after if they wished.
