2011 Gala: There’s No Place Like Home

There’s No Place Like Home

Guests gathered at the Royal Sonesta Hotel to celebrate the kick-off to a Capital Campaign to build Nora’s Home in Houston. Ben and Pat Bono along with their daughters (Lisa, Gina, and Joanna) and son-in-laws (Scott, Jeff, and Mike) chaired the inaugural gala, There’s No Place Like Home. Honorees were William B. Reily, III, Alice Fanto, and young Cade Alpard.

Closely tied to the mission of Nora’s Home, Pat and Ben have been great supporters of the home–particularly given the fact that Ben received a liver transplant in 2002. The theme of the gala was based off of the Wizard of Oz and guests enjoyed visiting with Glenda the Good Witch and other characters from Oz as all rallied together in support of the home. About $200,000 funds were raised from the evening.
