Our simply glowing guest of the week is Doretha Carter, who is staying with us along with her mother Vickie Carter. Doretha, who hails from Cedar Hill, TX, is a patient at Houston Methodist. She enjoys both reading and a good film. We are absolutely delighted to have hosted both Doretha and Vickie!
Doretha was kind enough to share some of her thoughts about the Nora’s Home experience:
“Nora’s Home has been a true blessing to me and my family. The thought of having to be away from home for two months seemed unbearable. Nora’s Home became my home away from home. I thank God for the Gabers and the many other people who made this safe haven for us and our families possible. I thank the staff for being so kind and amazing, always putting a smile on my face. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have met other transplant patients and their families; creating lifelong friendships. No words can express the joy I have experienced, being able to spend my recovery time here at Nora’s Home! Thank you!”
